Instructional Computing Services
The Instructional Computing Services (ICS) team, supports the VCU community of students, faculty, and staff by providing access to instructional software and hardware. As part of Academic Technologies (a Technology Services unit), ICS manages computer hardware in labs and classrooms, loaner laptops, and software like Adobe Creative Cloud and Top Hat. Our mission is to innovate and provide excellent service through communication, collaboration, and a focus on equity and inclusion.

Adobe Software
VCU's Adobe Enterprise Agreement provides VCU employees and students access to the full range of creative apps for digital imaging, design, web, and video.

Classroom/Lab Computing
ICS provides service and support for podium computers in over 170 centrally supported classrooms. Additional services include support for computer workstations, laptops, and desktops in departmentally managed academic spaces for VCU units under Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Top Hat is a student engagement tool that allows instructors to conduct polls, track attendance, and create digital assessments that integrate with VCU’s Canvas learning management system.
