Services Provided
The Instructional Computing Services team delivers service to centrally managed and departmentally managed academic spaces on the Monore Park (MP) and VCU Medical Center (MCV) campuses in collaboration with other units outside our department, division, and major business unit.
ICS services range from support for computer workstations, laptops, and desktops in departmentally-managed academic spaces to VCU units under Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Service Level Agreements with our customers and Operational Level Agreements with our fellow service providers in support of mutual customers.
The ICS team provides support for classroom podium computers and student lab computers (both hardware AND software) in centrally-managed spaces. These computers may be used by ALL users with an active VCU eID / email address for official teaching/learning purposes, employee and student organizations affiliated with VCU, and for VCU sponsored events. To learn more visit: Classroom Computer Resource Page.
If you have any questions, would like to submit a request, or if you need to report an issue, please reach out to us by emailing classroomtech@vcu.edu or by submitting a ticket at go.vcu.edu/ramscentral.
Technology Services provides a catalog of licensed application software listed at the Software Center.
New software purchases will need to be reviewed and approved by VCU Procurement Services and the IT Governance Committee. For existing purchases, ICS will NOT deploy software that has not been reviewed by IT Governance or VCU Procurement Services.
For more complete information about our Service Agreements and Software Deployment, see our Terms and Conditions
The ICS team provides and supports non-centrally managed computer workstations for various departments across both campuses.
Management of non-centrally scheduled resources is a service primarily delivered through cooperative agreements: Service-Level Agreements with our customers and Operational-Level Agreements with our fellow service providers in support of mutual customers.
For more complete information about our Service Agreements, see our Terms and Conditions
The ICS team provides Operation-Level Agreements (OLA) for customers primarily in non-centrally managed spaces where the department may or may not have its own service support provider.
